Description / aim of the cohort

The Hoorn study studies the course of development and progression of Diabetes. The Hoorn study aims to determine the psychological, social, biological and genetic factors that influence the development and progression of Diabetes. The Hoorn study consists of three waves, one started in 1989, one in 2007 and one in 2024. We have data on oral health in wave 2, the information from now on is on wave 2 of the Hoorn studies only.
